Chapter 4 Summary
Did anyone notice that Meg was expecting Blajeny to take care of everything?? It's just like when she expected her dad to take care of everything when they found him!!
In this chapter, Meg goes to see 'Progo', as she calls him,to see if she was dreaming or not. I also have proof that Meg depends on other people a lot because on page77 in the pink book, she says Don't you know?, and she was probably thinking that since Proginoskes was a cherubim that he didn't have limits! I don't really think Meg has changed...she might have, but only a bit! On the next page he says, Maybe you're supposed to make an earthling feel more human. What could he mean by that? I was thinking that he was trying to get Meg to be more 'human' so she could figure out how to help oThErS, become more human. I'm really stuck on what exactly human would mean though!! Then Meg explains to Progo (which is what I'll be calling him too =]) what happend with Mr. Jenkins and before that Progo asked how she felt with him..and thatt.... I'm confused on the next 2 pages because I was getting mixed up with all these names, I'm sure that in discussion I will understand but for now I'm prettyy confused.....THEN! it sems that the Echthroihave Xed, then they said that it was a rip..in the sky.. will this kind of be like the Black Thing? Will Meg have to go in the rip to do something? Then after this she started to think of the most comfortable thing possible for her and after she is done remembering, she realizes that she was remembering with Progo, how coud he have done that? Meg is told that she has a talent in kthing.. MAYBE! Since Charles has a 'dog-like' part that he can tell how someone is feeling, maybe Meg has a 'cherubim-like' way, or will have, of communicating! On pg. 90 Meg is kind of in temper-mode or something, this shows she is still quite emotional..has Meg changed ANY?

Chapter 5 Summary/Thoughts
Meg is put to her first test, which is to find out, out of three, which is the real Mr. Jenkins. Progo also helped her with this, he asked her to open her self up to him so they could kythe. Meg tried but I don't think that she can control her kythe yet, but as she gets more familiar with how to kythe, she could learn how to control it. I also think that maybe one of her tests is going to see if she can control it, maybe when she finds out how to control it she will be able to help Charles, I'm not sure how but it's just a thought =]. I don't remember it saying that Meg ever found out who the real Mr. Jenkins was, I know that she did mention something about the 3rd one being obviously not the real one. I myself think it's definitly not the 3rd I was first thinking the 2nd one but now I'm not sure....

Chapter 6 Summary/Thoughts
In the beginning Mr. Jenkins 1 was the one who said "What are you doing with that- that-" I now think that it is Mr. Jenkins 1, the one who is the real one because, he was the first one to say something about that and he seemed to me like he was the real one because that was how I remembered him. Afer that Mr. Jenkins 3 explained to Charles what he thought was a small pet, and disagreed that what Charles had was small. I think that that #3 isn't id because he is kind of taking the normal Mr. Jenkins to a bit of an extreme and you can see the effort on being 'himself'. There is also some proof on page 111 in the pink book, near the top he sounds eager when Meg was just starting to say Mr Jenkins 3, he rushed and said "Are you naming me, Meg? That's right", you can tell that he was trying to pull her in when he said "That's right" and the real one probably wouldn't have done this because I highly doubt he knows what's going on, as we said in dicussion. They pretty much (they is practicly only Mr. Jenkins 2 and 3) just keep on trying to convince Meg, that that they are the real Mr. Jenkins', while Mr. Jenkins one just kind of watches them not really paying much attention. Then Progo tries to help Meg finding out the real one and gets her to kythe with him abot Calvin's shoes. When they were talking about how Meg loves Calvin, it got me to think that one of the themes in thisbook will probably also be love, what I am wondering though, is HOW, it will be a theme in this book, because they used Calvin as an example instead of Charles, will something happen to Calvin in this book? Then after she hears Calvin's voice in her head explaining how he got the shoes. Now Progo kind of gave Meg an ida on how to love Mr. Jenkins. Once again, Meg is STILL stuborn, I don't think she has changed at all!!!!! Then Progo tries to get Meg to have Mr. Jenkins see a 'different' Meg, and right away she says she wants gorgeous blond hair, this shows Meg is still unchanged, she has lowwww self esteem... :( Then it's soon time for Megto Name one of them! Something that surprised me was that Mr. Jenkins called her an idot... (?) FINALLY!!!!!.... Meg chose Mr. Jenkins 1~~ ...the he fainted....I liked how at the end Meg gave explanations that I didn't think about at first... :) I think that this might have been my favorite chapter so far! :D

Chapter 7 Summary/Thoughts
In this chapter the beginning has Mr. Jenkins thinking that it’s all a dream. OH, by the way….this is one of the confusing chapters that I really hope I will understand in discussion.. I think every time a new character..Or creature comes into the book I get so messed up! WE NEED A CHARACTER PAGE!! AnYwAySsSs, the part that I DO understand is just practically when the creature thingy explains that it is farandole and that its name is Sporos… You can tell I hardly understood anything..Yes I know that…. =P OH! When I figure this stuff out…I hope, I will surely edit this with a clearer summary, and add WAY more thoughts…IM CONFUSED!

Chapter 8 Summary/Thoughts
In this chapter Meg started to love Mr. Jenkins more than before and this time she said Mr. Jenkins I love you. This could actually be some sort of sign; I think that when Meg said this it was kind of reaching a new level, except this seemed kind of reversed! Wouldn't it be easier to say Mr. Jenkins I love you, than to actually love him? Something else, Yadah reminds me of when they were Tessering in the book, A Wrinkle In Time except that you actually are moving it’s just that you don’t feel it, but you can’t see anything and this also reminded me of the nothingness that was being explained in the previous book. I’m starting to come up with some sort of rule for this series I guess, it seems to me like the author is only changing the characters SLIGHTLY, and replacing them with other characters that seem, and have somewhat the same personality of the character they’re replacing. I thought this book would be more of what happened after the IT situation and have more to do with it but I guess she just hopped into another adventure leaving that practically unsolved….

Chapter 10 Summary/Thoughts
In this chapter, Meg realized that Mr. Jenkins keeps on getting more open to her and that this time it was the most he has been so far. I’ve noticed that this book kind of keeps progressing and keeps building up with each characters strength in something, we’re near the end of the book and I think that the climax is very close, or should be, but I’m worried that like the book A Wrinkle In Time, this will end near the climax and will not have such a great ending.. L Anyway, cherubim seem like he is hiding something big from Meg, you can kind of tell this because of the way he says, “All I need to know…..” This seems like he is telling Meg, “This is all I know so don’t expect me to know anything else” BUT, he probably does! I’m not saying Progo is bad or good yet, I’m just saying that, if Progo is hiding anything, if he is, it must be pretty important for Meg not to know… THIS also reminds me of the other book a wrinkle in time! Because their mother told CHARLES what a tesseract is but NOT MEG! As I’ve said before, this book has a pattern; it’s like a wrinkle in time just with a different situation… So instead of Meg’s mom, it’s Progo, but, instead of Charles knowing, who could be the one that does know but can’t tell Meg? So far, I think it is Calvin because he is practically the only one left… (If I get the chance I will probably bring this up in discussion!J) They had a conversation about trees talking with each other...I was a bit confused on that I will ask in discussion… I’ve also noticed Meg is much more comfortable with kything than before, it seems to me like either this book is rushing…or, since the chapters are going quicker, I’m not having that much time to think THAT much about this book but I guess its fine. J Oh, and while Meg was kything with Calvin he kythed about the Wall Street Journal which, Mr. Jenkins, also reads. I think that the progress of this book is getting Meg and Mr. Jenkins to know each other and love each other more so in the end they can both help Charles Wallace!
Chapter 11
When Progo said, the amount doesn’t matter but the names do, I had a thought that could have meant that it would be better if you knew all the names of something, rather than to know how many names you do know, I can’t really explain it though….. There is more proof that the team is teamwork love, and trust, or maybe a chain of some sort, they have to save Charles or else if they don’t they all go down with him, wasn’t there a quote somewhere in the book that related to this?? It was like; if we don’t hang together we all hang separately! Also, Charles has to TRUST that they will do their best and save him, and they have to work together so they can save Charles, also they all have to LOVE each other to do this, or it would at least be easier if they did… Let’s try to get more proof of the theme as these last chapters go on because the book is almost over!! So far, the themes that I know of, are, love, trust, teamwork, and a chain reaction which actually relates to teamwork or a pyramid!! I thought of a pyramid and I thought that, if one part falls of is broken, then I’d guess the whole thing falls, I’m probably not right about that XD, but then I thought of a factory or a cell!!!!! :D I hope I get to discuss this in discussion because I have a lot of ideas…… J
Before I start this summary, I’d like to say, I’m not so sure about reading the rest of this series if all the other books are going to be Meg, Calvin, Charles, Mr. and Mrs. Murry, and maybe sandy and Dennys on different adventures but they completely forget about the things that happened before that…..
OKAY! This was so sad I just can’t stop thinking about when Progo Xed himself!! It was fairly unexpected but again, like the book a Wrinkle in Time, the climax was practically at the end and you couldn’t really read anything else about it, kind of like saving the best for last but…I don’t really know… it just wasn’t my favorite ending, if you know what I mean. Anyways, Progo was kind of a hero in this book, he was kind of like Mrs. Whatsit, like the leader somehow, or with good communication and understanding, but not like Calvin, and then again, like Calvin in various ways..
I think that in the discussion we should REALLY talk about the theme and what the author does… The ideas that I’ve heard of are, teamwork, trust, love, a chain reaction (which kind of relates back to teamwork and trust...)
